The better half of former South African loose forward Heinrich Brussow will sing Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika ahead of Saturday’s second Test between the Springboks and Wales in Bloemfontein.

Caroline Grace Brussow has accepted the honour and will sing the national anthem in front of a packed Toyota Stadium.

The Springboks snuck a narrow 32-29 win in the first Test last weekend in Pretoria and will be looking to wrap-up the three-Test series with a win on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 17:05.

The third and final Test is scheduled for the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, 16 July.

Heinrich Brussow, who was born in Bloemfontein and educated at Grey College, played 23 Tests for the Springboks between 2008 and 2015, scoring one try.

He also played close on 150 matches for the Free State Cheetahs and Cheetahs in the Currie Cup and Super Rugby.

Meanwhile, as reported by The South African website, former SA Idols winner Elvis Blue has pleaded with SA Rugby to be given the chance to sing the national anthem ahead of one of the two Springbok v All Blacks Tests in next month’s Rugby Championship.
