Following on from this past weekend’s loss to Ireland, it will also certainly be interesting to see whether coach Jacques Nienaber makes some team changes when the latest matchday squad is named on Tuesday, 8 November at 13:00 (SA time).

The loss to Ireland also came at an injury cost after lock Lood de Jager had to leave the field with his right arm in a makeshift sling in the 35th minute.

It was another painful sight for a player who has suffered similar injuries in the past, and in fact had to be replaced in similar fashion during the 2019 World Cup final.

Franco Mostert is expected to come straight into the starting lineup as a result of this injury, while Marvin Orie, Jason Jenkins or Salmaan Moerat could be included on the bench.
