England’s Luke Pearce will take charge of the 100th all-time Test between the All Blacks and Springboks on Saturday, 25 September at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville.

World Rugby on Thursday confirmed the match official appointments for the remaining nine matches of the 2021 Rugby Championship which will all be hosted by Australia in Queensland.

The Springboks will play the Wallabies twice – on Sunday, 12 September and Saturday, 18 September – before finishing their 2021 campaign with two mouth-watering against the All Blacks, the first of which will be the 100th clash between the two rugby heavyweights.

Pearce will be bizarrely – and no doubt controversially – assisted by non-neutral South African Jaco Peyper and Australian Angus Gardner, while another Australian Damon Murphy will be the TMO.

Pearce will also be in charge of the Springboks’ first match against Australia on the Gold Coast on 12 September.

Their remaining Tests against the Wallabies and All Blacks will be handled by Englishman Matthew Carley.
