The world champion Springboks have lost their coveted World Rugby No 1 ranking to their closest rivals, the All Blacks.

Thanks to their 54-16 victory over Wales, the All Blacks picked up 0.39 points to move ahead of the Springboks who had topped the standings with 91.13 points – 0.16 ahead of the All Blacks (90.97) – heading into the Test.

The Springboks won’t be in action until next Saturday when they too take on Wales, before Tests against Scotland and England.

The All Blacks will take on Italy, Ireland and France in their three remaining Tests of 2021.
