This will be the first time the Boks will play in front of their supporters since August 2019, almost 3 years ago.

Nienaber, Rassie Erasmus and The Boks are also expected to run out in front of a sold out crowd at Loftus as tickets are selling EXTREMELY fast! This comes as no surprise given that fans had to miss out on the British & Irish Lions series as well as having no home tests in the recent Rugby Championships. Now, the fans are back and they will be back in their numbers – full voice too!

You heard it first, right here on The South African.

Nienaber will announce his starting 15 and his 23-man squad to take on Wales in the first test at 12:30 on Tuesday afternoon. Our rugby writers, Craig Lewis and Garrin Lambley have given us their Bok Starting XV predictions. Some exciting variances indeed!

TEST WEEK: DEON FOURIE COULD BE SET FOR FAIRYTALE BOK DEBUT!

Nienaber has told us not to expect many Bok bolters which may hold true for the first Test. However, I have a gut feeling that some of our stand-out United Rugby Championship performers may be give a chance to play this series. Especially, given the fact that it was an ALL-South African URC final in Cape Town. Specifically, players such as Evan Roos, Warrick Gelant, Elrich Louw and Marcell Coetzee.

We can expect to see these men – and a couple of others – given a chance in the Third test if the Boks wrap up the series in the first two Test matches.
