Erasmus was slapped with a 60-day ban from all rugby-related activities after World Rugby reacted grumpily to his 62-minute video in which he ‘questioned’ the decisions of several of the governing body’s match officials.

Most notably Erasmus took exception at Australian Nic Berry’s performance in the Springboks’ defeat in the first Test against the British & Irish Lions in July last year.

Erasmus didn’t sit around the house moping in late 2021. On the contrary, he broke the internet with a series of tweets – particularly videos – of his dog, Frank, and his dance moves (Erasmus’ that is).

While Rassie Erasmus didn’t shy away from jokingly poking fun at World Rugby, his three daughters have now joined in on the act, expressing their gratitude that their father’s suspension only lasted two months.

“Thank you so much for only making it two months. Honestly, thank you. We are so tired of him being at home and we have received enough life lessons. So it’s time for him to go back. This experience came with positives and negatives. So thank you so much for the two months and not a DAY more.”

With Rassie Erasmus back at work, we are worried about no longer receiving updates on Frank.

Frank quickly became the nation’s favourite “British” bulldog.
