Oh, and he had the first hole-in-one of his golfing career!

Playing the 14th hole at Brookwater Golf & Country Club, Steyn achieved what most golfers can only dream of!

Morne Steyn, now 37, took to Instagram to post pictures of the hole.

Fellow Springboks Bryan Habana and Francois Hougaard – among others – were quick to congratulate him on his perfect fluke.

Morne Steyn is not part of the Springboks’ squad to face the Wallabies on Saturday, 18 September, but his experience may come in handy against the All Blacks in the two Tests that will follow.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 09:05 SA time.
