In his own words, this is the story of how rugby changed the course of Trevor Nyakane’s life for the better.

Nyakane left the Bulls towards the end of last year on a big-money transfer to French giants Racing 92, and spent New Year’s Eve in isolation with his family in a Paris hotel in order to follow Covid-19 travel regulations after arrival from South Africa.

However, they have quickly got out and about, with the 32-year-old prop posting pictures in front of the Eiffel Tower as they began to explore the picturesque city.

It has been a year since his move and the months that has past, Nyakane has settled in well in Europe and has played a starring role for club and country in the front row.
