The Springbok captain opted for surgery on the knee he hurt during the Sharks’ 22-22 draw against Munster in Durban. It was his final game at the Shark Tank.

The 31-year-old Kolisi had consulted three specialists leading up to his operation, which he underwent in Cape Town last Friday.

On Monday morning, the World Cup-winning skipper shared a short, but cute clip of him and his wife Rachel Kolisi in their car, after she had picked him up from the hospital.

In the video, Mzansi’s favourite couple sing along to Linkin Park’s hit song Numb.

He captioned the photo: “Op went well, the hard work starts now. Thanks for all the prayers, messages and support.”

Rachel Kolisi has since shared her husband’s initial post to her Instagram stories and wrote: “God’s been doing a thing! Thank you all for the love. We are so grateful! Still believing! Still praying!”
