The Springboks’ barren run in Australia continued on Saturday when they were soundly beaten by the Wallabies in their Rugby Championship clash in Adelaide.

The Wallabies won 25-17 after leading 10-3 at half-time.

Australia picked up four tournament log points, while the Springboks left empty-handed.

The Springboks haven’t tasted success in Australia since 2013, but will get another chance next weekend in Sydney when the sides clash for a second time.

Springboks now 5th in rankings

Following their loss, the Springboks slipped to FIFTH in the latest live World Rugby rankings.

The Wallabies moved up to sixth place.
