Sonny Bill Williams: “Maybe one day my sons will be playing in green and gold”
Former All Black centre Sonny Bill Williams has delivered a shock statement that involves his sons as well as the Springboks.

Former All Black centre Sonny Bill Williams has delivered a shock statement that involves his sons as well as the Springboks.

Williams became a huge rival to the Springboks during his illustrious Test career with the All Blacks but now reveals things could be different regarding his sons.
Williams part of a rare list of NZ rugby players
Born in Auckland, Williams remains only the second player to represent New Zealand in both Rugby League as well as Rugby Union having amassed 123 caps for the former and 58 Test for the All Blacks during a Test career that spanned all of nine years from 2010 to 2019. During that period, Williams would go on to lift two World Cups in 2011 as well as the 2015 edition.
In that period, Williams would be known for his now iconic off load which many believe has changed the game in a way, with its impact even extending to the forwards. He has also come up against the Springboks plenty of times during his Test career, building a strong, healthy and respectable rivalry and bond with his competitors wearing the green and gold over his almost decade long international career.
His sons want to play for the Springboks
Now if what Williams has said recently is anything to go buy, things could prove to be but the opposite for his sons, who he admits have a great affinity towards the Springboks would love to represent South Africa.

“Cape Town is my second home, Maybe one day my two boys might be playing in Green and Gold. They’ve told me that’s what they’d like to. They love the Springboks”. Williams said to ruck.co.uk
How they are eligible
Williams’ sons would have very few eligibility issues should they really wish to play for the Springboks one day, as their father has been married to South African model Alana Raffie since 2013.
