The 22-year-old was a standout star for the UWC side in their Varsity Cup campaign this season, scoring some memorable tries – and earning the nickname “The Driller”.

Mavesere is currently on duty with the Zimbabwe Sables but will link up with the Sharks next month.
The KwaZulu-Natal side have placed great emphasis in the recruitment of new players in recent weeks and months, the highest profile of which have been Springbok skipper Siya Kolisi and his former Stormers team-mate Bongi Mbonambi.
