WORLD RUGBY SEVENS CHALLENGER SERIES

The World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series provide the opportunity for teams that are not core members of the World Series to secure a permanent spot on the circuit for the next season. Winning a tournament is always the goal but this one carries the weight of opportunity.

During the tournament each team will have two games on day one with the tournament following the Olympic structure through the knock out games.

There will be 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams participating. Despite their troublesome form of late, the South African Men’s side are not facing relegation so will not be in action.

Entrance is free so it’s a great opportunity to cheer on the local team, or any other, and have a day out. All games are also available to stream on YouTube.

The second leg of the Series will be from 28 to 30 April.
