The Springbok Sevens side will take on Argentina in the battle for 5th-8th after losing to Fiji in their Cup quarter-final at the Singapore Sevens on Sunday.
Fiji won 19-14.

The Blitzboks, who have dominated the sevens scene while Fiji and New Zealand have been absent, found out in the harshest way possible that things aren’t as easy when the ‘big boys’ are around.

Fiji will play Australia in the Singapore Sevens semi-finals at 10:13 SA time.
The Wallabies beat Argentina 29-7 in their quarter-final.

In the other quarter-final, New Zealand edged Samoa 22-14 while Ireland shocked the USA 14-12.
The All Blacks will take on Ireland in the semi-finals at 10:35 SA time.
Meanwhile, the Blitzboks will face Argentina in the battle for 5th-8th at 09:29, with the winner of that match taking on the winner of the Samoa v USA clash (09:51).
