Samoa held their nerve to stun New Zealand 12-7 to walk away winners of the Cape Town Sevens on Sunday.

It was Samoa’s first ever win on South African soil in what was the 22nd all-time tournament in Mzansi.
Post-final – which was held in torrential rain – Samoa performed their Siva Tau war dance.
Meanwhile, as reported by The South African website, the Blitzboks went down 22-14 to the USA in the third-place bronze medal match at the Cape Town Sevens.
New Zealand’s women’s side beat Australia in the final to be crowned champions.
