The Springbok Sevens side bounced back from a loss to Great Britain to beat Kenya and Australia and qualify for the Cup quarter-finals at the HSBC World Rugby Dubai Sevens on Friday.

As reported by The South African, the Blitzboks lost 14-5 to Great Britain before overcoming Kenya 27-12 and Australia 19-12.

That was good enough to see the Blitzboks top Pool A ahead of Australia.

In the quarter-finals the SA Sevens side will take on Samoa who finished as runners-up in Pool D.

That match will take place on Saturday at 09:34 (SA time).

Should the Blitzboks prevail, they will face the winner of the New Zealand v France quarter-final in the semi-finals.

The first quarter-final will see Argentina face Ireland at 08:28 which will be followed by the USA v Australia at 08:50.

The New Zealand v France clash is scheduled for 09:12.
