The 2023 Rugby World Cup hosted by France gets underway on Friday, 8 September 2023.

When does the Rugby World Cup kick off?

The opening match is a massive one with France taking on the All Blacks at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis from 21:00.

On the following day, the action comes thick and fast with four matches packing an exciting Saturday and includes a tasty fixture between England and Argentina which occupies the primetime 21:00 kick off slot.

When do the Springboks play their first Rugby World Cup 2023 match?

The Springboks have to be on the money from the word go as they will begin their Rugby World Cup on Sunday 10 September against Scotland.

The match will kick off at 17:45 and is sandwiched between Japan clashing with Chile and Wales taking on Fiji with three games scheduled for the first Sunday.

There is then a four day break in action with the next round of pool matches beginning on 14 September when hosts France are in Lille to face Uruguay.

On the Friday 15 September the All Blacks take on Namibia in Toulouse.

The second weekend sees three matches on Saturday and Sunday but many of them are mismatches.

Springboks second match

The Springboks face Romania in their second Pool B match in Bordeaux where they will hope the only red they see is in a glass, as the next match might be a group decider.

On Saturday 23 September the Springboks face Ireland at the Stade de France before concluding their group stage against Tonga in Marseille on Sunday 1 October.

How to watch RWC 2023?

All the matches from the Rugby World Cup will broadcast and stream live on SuperSport.

At this stage, there has been no indication of whether the SABC will show Springboks matches in some form or other.
