The footage isn’t new, but it never gets old watching!

Jean de Villiers has a strong claim to being the most unlucky Springbok player of all time as knee, shoulder and jaw injuries blighted his 109-Test career in the green and gold.

De Villiers is one of six players to have played 100 or more Tests for South Africa.

He announced his retirement at the end of 2015 having captained the Springboks in 37 Tests, scoring 27 tries.

He remains South Africa’s most experienced centre with 94 caps.

Jean de Villiers, now 42, these days prefers golf’s fairways and the SuperSport studio as he gives his battered body a well-deserved rest.
