Van Rooyen, 25, has tested his skills across a variety of competitions, including the Provincial Cup with the Blue Bulls, the PRO14 with the Southern Kings and the Currie Cup with Griquas.

“Alandré provides more competition for places at hooker, and we are happy that he has agreed to join the club,” said Declan Kidney, Director of Rugby.

“He has good experience across several competitions, and we look forward to seeing what he can do in a London Irish jersey.”
