The Lions have confirmed that utility back EW Viljoen and loose forward Roelof Smit will both be out of action for at least three weeks after sustaining knee injuries.

The Lions have confirmed that utility back EW Viljoen and loose forward Roelof Smit will both be out of action for at least three weeks after sustaining knee injuries.

Both players started last Friday’s 32-28 victory over the Pumas in their opening preparation-series match, but will be out of action for the majority of the month.

The Lions will play the EP Elephants at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday, 10 March.
Kick-off is at 16:45.
