The second half of the 2017/18 PSL season has commenced and following Saturday night’s results, the action resumes on Sunday afternoon.

The scheduled fixtures for the day feature sides desperate to get their league campaigns back on track, having experienced hiccups in their bid to make a telling impact on the final outcome come May.

Chippa United v Bidvest Wits, Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, 15:30

Bidvest Wits will hope to make it two wins in as many games when they travel to Port Elizabeth to meet Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday.

The visitors will look to channel similar form to what they exhibited as they scored two quick-fire goals to hand Supersport United their third defeat in four outings midweek, beating them 2-0.

The win briefly propelled Gavin Hunt’s men up from the bottom of the log but they find themselves back there, following Ajax Cape Town’s win from Friday night.

They come up against a Chippa side who also registered a similar scoreline as they beat AmaZulu away from home.

Baroka FC v AmaZulu, Peter Mokaba – 15:30

AmaZulu are desperate to halt a string of dreadful results and that desperation continues as they take on Baroka at Peter Mokaba stadium.

Having topped the PSL log for much of the current campaign, the home side find themselves in the bottom half of the table, nine points away from the top spot they called home for most of the season.

Depending on the margin of victory, a win could propel them all the way from ninth place to fourth on the log.

Golden Arrows v Supersport United, Princess Magogo Stadium – 15:30

Another side desperately seeking three points is Supersport United and, having claimed just one point in their last four outings, they will be hoping for a change in fortunes as they take on Golden Arrows at Princess Magogo.

The home side briefly summited the table but find themselves in a rather unspectacular 10th place as they have battled with inconsistency for much of the latter stages of the campaign.
