After an extended break, the PSL returns again starting with two fixtures on Tuesday night, following an international break which was soon followed by a weekend of Nedbank Cup action.

Only half a dozen matches remain for all but two clubs in the current league campaign and every single point collected will now matter more than at any stage of the competition as the season now draws to an end.

Mamelodi Sundowns continue to lead the pack and have one game in hand, with Orlando Pirates hot on their heels at just one point behind.

PSL fixtures, Tuesday 3 April

Bidvest Wits v Maritzburg United, Bidvest Stadium – 19:30

Defending league champions, Bidvest Wits take on third-placed Maritzburg United at Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday night.

Gavin Hunt’s men have nothing more than a mathematical chance of retaining their title but will definitely aim for a high finish as they look to continue their climb up the table after what was a disastrous start to their campaign.

AmaZulu v Ajax Cape Town, King Zwelithini Stadium – 19:30

The night’s other fixture features two sides at the bottom half of the table as 11th placed AmaZulu take on Ajax Cape Town who sit at the rather precarious position of second from bottom.

The Urban Warriors look, for all money, set for their worst finish in the top flight but could still defy that as maximum points at King Zwelithini stadium will propel them three spots up the table as they look to rescue what has been a stuttering league campaign.
