Premier League: Everything you need to know about this week’s fixtures

Manchester City might’ve wrapped up the title on Sunday, but there is no lack of action with a number of midweek fixtures kicking off on Tuesday.

Expect plenty of jostling as teams look to improve on their standings with five games to go until the 2017/18 season wraps up. We’ll be back on Thursday with all the latest info about the weekend’s upcoming fixtures.

Premier League fixtures on Tuesday, 17 April

Brighton & Hove Albion v Tottenham Hotspur

Fourth-placed Spurs will be hoping to bounce back after their 3-1 defeat to Champions City last Saturday night. With nearest rivals Chelsea and Liverpool not in action until the weekend, Spurs will be looking to make a move with three points taking them level with the Reds on 70 points.

Premier League fixtures on Wednesday, 18 April

AFC Bournemouth v Manchester United

Like Spurs, United also need to react following their shock loss to West Brom on Sunday which handed City the title a week earlier than expected. The hosts, who last collected three points on 17 March, are currently in 11th spot with any a win a bonus now as they look to move up the table.

Premier League fixtures on Thursday, 18 April

Burnley v Chelsea

Burnley will have no problem reminding the visitors of their last encounter when the Blues lost 2-3 at home in December. Currently, in fifth, Antonio Conte’s side are hunting that fourth Champions League spot and will look to add further pressure on Spurs with seven points separating them.

Leicester City v Southampton

The Foxes will have to contend with a desperate Saints outfit who are hovering dangerously in 18th spot on 28 points. Eighth-placed Leicester will have to regroup after conceding two early goals to Burnley last weekend, going down 1-2 despite a late Vardy reply.
