Tottenham 5-1 Stoke

Tottenham blasted out of their poor Premier League form, with the pressure mounting on Stoke boss Mark Hughes after a Wembley thrashing.

An own goal from Ryan Shawcross settled the nerves at the national stadium, before Spurs cranked it up after the interval to put the Potters out of sight.

First Son Heung-min made amends for his first-half miss by netting for the second game running.

Then Harry Kane was at the double with a strong header followed up by a neat finish to make it four.

Christian Eriksen added the fifth, leaving a late reply from Shawcross the scantest of consolations.

West Ham 1-0 Chelsea

West Ham clung on for a nerve-shredding derby victory over Chelsea on Saturday lunchtime.

David Moyes’ first win in charge at the London Stadium finally brought their new home to life under the Scotsman.

Marko Arnautovic finished off a smart move after just six minutes to put the hosts ahead.

It was the £24 million club-record signing’s first goal in claret and blue.

And Chelsea just couldn’t hit back on a frustrating afternoon for Antonio Conte’s men.

Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard both missed great chances to level for the Blues inside the last ten minutes.

But the reigning champions now risk slipping a further three points back in the race for this season’s title on a damaging afternoon.

Burnley 1-0 Watford

Burnley kept pace with Spurs in the race for Europe, thanks to a vital win at home to Watford.

Scott Arfield was alert to keep possession and slot past Heurelho Gomes on 45 minutes.

His strike came minutes after Marvin Zeegelaar was sent off for the Hornets following a rash challenge.

Crystal Palace 2-2 Bournemouth

A thrilling first half – and even more exciting finish – set up a Premier League cracker between Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.

Jermain Defoe’s early side-footed opener at Selhurst Park made it 200 league goals for the veteran poacher.

But Luka Milivojevic smashed in a penalty to level, before Scott Dann slide in to give the Eagles the lead.

Defoe had the answer again on the stroke of half time, watching the ball over his shoulder before dipping a gorgeous volley in from a tight angle.

Then Wilfried Zaha dropped like a sack of potatoes in the box to win his second penalty of the afternoon in stoppage time.

Up stepped Christian Benteke this time, only for keeper Asmir Begovic to guess right, parry away and secure a point.

Newcastle 2-3 Leicester

Leicester made it three Premier League wins in a row with a hard-fought victory at Newcastle.

An Ayoze Perez own goal in the 86th minute sealed the fate of Rafa Benitez’s side.

Striker Joselu swept the Magpies into the lead within four minutes.

But their good work was undone 15 minutes later when they allowed Riyad Mahrez the freedom of St James’ Park to unleash his trademark move.

Cutting on to his left foot, the Algerian star curled his shot home to level the scores.

Demarai Gray’s deflected shot on the hour mark then put the Foxes in front.

But Dwight Gayle hit back with a left-footed strike of his own, via a deflection off Harry Maguire.

And Perez’s mishap completed a painful night for the home side, who are now seven games without a win.

Huddersfield 2-0 Brighton

Huddersfield ended a run of four straight defeats with a steady win over Brighton.

Steve Mounie popped up at the far post to nudge in a 12th-minute corner at the John Smiths Stadium.

And the Frenchman was on hand to double the advantage with a simple header just before half-time.

Swansea 1-0 West Brom

Wilfried Bony lashed in a late winner to give Swansea a massively important victory over West Brom.

The basement battle at the Liberty Stadium remained without a goal for 81 minutes.

And the pressure looked to be piling on beleaguered boss Paul Clement.

But Ivory Coast star Bony kept his nerve to blast his shot through the crowd and secure a crucial three points.
