Manchester City 2-3 Manchester United

Manchester City will have to wait a little while longer for their Premier League title after losing an unbelievable derby to neighbours United. City were two goals up and cruising at halftime.

But Paul Pogba struck twice in 90 second half seconds to spark an unthinkable comeback from Jose Mourinho’s side.

Chris Smalling headed in the third as United came back from the dead and ruined the evening for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Everton 0-0 Liverpool

Everton and Liverpool played out a Premier League snooze-fest in the early kick off at Goodison Park.

The Merseyside Derby fell flat as a side with nothing to play for ground their way to a point against Jurgen Klopp’s men, who have an eye and a half on their Champions League quarter-final second leg next week.

Dominic Solanke’s goalless start to life in a red shirt continued as he fluffed his lines with just Jordan Pickford to beat in the Everton goal.

The hosts had barely attacked until Yannick Bolasie brought them to life on 22 minutes.

His wicked, curling strike from the edge of the box coaxed a spectacular fingertip save from the flying Loris Karius.

And that proved to be as close as either side would come to breaking the deadlock.

Stoke 1-2 Tottenham

Tottenham edged out Stoke as their top three Premier League tilt continued in the Midlands.

Spurs went ahead when Christian Eriksen provided the firm finish after being picked out by Dele Alli.

But the Potters were level when Mama Biram Diouf took a whack as Hugo Lloris attempted to clear on the edge of his box.

The ball fell at the feet of the Stoke man, who prodded into the net before collapsing in a heap.

Harry Kane hadn’t impacted much upon the game.

But he did prove an excellent decoy as Eriksen’s free kick found a way past the bewildered Jack Butland in the home goal.

Bournemouth 2-2 Crystal Palace

Bournemouth salvaged a late draw to dent the survival hopes of Crystal Palace.

Palace wasted no time after the break in taking the lead.

Luka Milivojevic curled in a beauty of a free kick to boost the Eagles’ survival hopes.

But the hosts hit back in the 65th minute when supersub Lys Mousset picked out the bottom corner.

Wilfried Zaha had other ideas, though, when he twisted, turned and curled in a beauty to restore the lead.

Joshua King helped the Cherries level for a second time when he forced in from an unmarked position in the six yard box.

Brighton 1-1 Huddersfield

Brighton and Huddersfield cancelled each other out in their battle to beat the Premier League drop at the AMEX Stadium.

Brighton went ahead on 29 minutes when Solly March’s shot was pushed on to the post by Jonas Lossl, only for the ball to rebound back and in off the head of the unfortunate German keeper.

But Steve Mounie pounced on a shoddy back pass to break away and equalize four minutes later.

Davy Propper was then sent off after his hefty challenge on Jonathan Hogg, but the Terriers couldn’t capitalise.

Leicester 1-2 Newcastle

Newcastle clinched a crucial victory at Leicester that takes them ever so close to EPL survival.

The visitors took a surprise lead on 18 minutes when Jonjo Shelvey side-footed in via the arm of Ben Chillwell for his first of the season.

And the Foxes defence was punished for allowing a hoof upfield to bounce when Ayoze Perez poked home to make it two.

Jamie Vardy pulled one back with a poacher’s effort as the clock wound down.

Watford 1-2 Burnley

Burnley came from behind to see off Watford at Vicarage Road.

Roberto Pereyra had the Hornets ahead when the ball fell kindly for him to finish at the back post early in the second half.

But Burnley usually find a way and it was Sam Vokes who restored parity.

The big Welshman scored with his first touch after coming off the bench on 70 minutes.

And Jack Cork’s header squeaked over the line three minutes later to complete a quickfire turnaround.

West Brom 1-1 Swansea

West Brom are staring down the relegation barrel after stuffing up from a winning position against Swansea.

Jay Rodriguez poked in on 54 minutes to give the Baggies the faintest glimmer of hope.

But they left Tammy Abraham completely unmarked to head in from two yards to spoil that good work – and not for the first time this season.

The Swans won’t exactly be over the moon with a point, but they’re in far better shape than their all-but doomed hosts.
