Liverpool 5-0 Watford

Liverpool rocketed back up to third in the Premier League table thanks to a Mohamed Salah-inspired rout of Watford.

The red-hot forward notched a brilliant four goals at Anfield as the visitors were beaten out of sight.

Salah took just three minutes to do Hornets defender Miguel Britos like a kipper.

The hapless defender ended up on his backside after the Egyptian weaved this way and that before drilling low into the back of the net.

A gorgeous cross from left back Andy Robertson gifted him his second.

Salah couldn’t miss as he polished off his 34th of an astonishing season, all thanks to the Scotsman’s wizardry.

He turned provider after the break, bamboozling Britos again and setting up Roberto Firmino, who did the rest with an outrageous flick.

But Salah wandered through Watford all on his own to complete a sublime hat-trick.

He went right, left and left again before jabbing his finish past Orestis Karnezis through a crowded area.

Substitute Danny Ings was then denied by a strong outstretched hand from Karnezis as Jurgen Klopp’s side threatened to run riot.

The same applied in the 85th minute, only for Karnezis to parry into the path of that man Salah, who lashed home with his left foot.

Stoke 1-2 Everton

A Cenk Tosun double edged Everton past ten man Stoke in the snow at the bet365 Stadium.

The Potters were a man down after half an hour.

Charlie Adam flew in recklessly on Wayne Rooney, with ref Martin Atkinson producing the red car.

The home side regrouped and held out until midway through the second half.

Tosun ruined all that when he forced in from close range to put the Toffees ahead.

But Paul Lambert’s side were level when Eric Choupo-Moting stuck a leg out to divert past Jordan Pickford.

Tosun continued to work on justifying his transfer fee, however, when he headed in to nudge Everton ahead once more.

Huddersfield 0-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace are back out of the Premier League relegation zone after beating drop rivals Huddersfield.

A quickfire start in snowy West Yorkshire saw a couple of Palace corners before Steve Mounie clipped the bar at the other end in the sixth minute.

Another Eagles corner in the 24th minute allowed James Tomkins to prod in the opener after his initial effort had been parried by Jonas Lossl.

He almost had an unlikely second on the hour mark, only for the retreating Mounie to clear off the line.

But Roy’s boys had the points sealed soon after when Luka Milivojevic scored yet another penalty.

Bournemouth 2-1 West Brom

Blunders at the back prevented West Brom from taking all three points from their EPL trip to Bournemouth.

Jay Rodriguez netted the Baggies’ first away goal in two months as Alan Pardew’s team began to dream.

The striker blasted in after Salomon Rondon had knocked down a Kieran Gibbs cross.

Bournemouth were level, though, when Jordon Ibe was given space and time to drift in from the left.

His bang-average shot from range beat keeper Ben Foster, who should have done much better.

The ex-England international could also have done better when a Junior Stanislas free kick whistled past him and into the net as the clock wound down.

It leaves West Brom rock bottom and staring relegation to the Championship in the face.
