Netball World Cup 2023: Telkom and SPAR named as premium sponsors

SPAR and Telkom will be official premium sponsors for the Netball World Cup to take place in Cape Town from 28 July to 6 August 2023.

World Netball and Netball World Cup 2023 have announced that SPAR and Telkom will be two of the official premium sponsors for the Netball World Cup 2023 set to take place in Cape Town from 28 July to 6 August 2023.

The two companies are both well known for their continuous support for netball in South Africa at all levels, from SPAR sponsoring the South Africa national team, the ‘SPAR Proteas’, all the way to the Telkom sponsoring the ‘Telkom Netball Championships for schools’.

Speaking regarding the announcement, Netball World Cup 2023 Board Member, Cecilia Molokwane, said: “We are very proud of our association with these two companies.

“We are delighted that they will be premier sponsors of NWC2023.

“Their domestic sponsorships have been crucial to the development of netball throughout South Africa, from grassroots level to our national team and it is important for them to be part of the first Netball World Cup to be played in Africa.”

World Netball Ambassador for the Africa Region and SPAR Proteas captain, Bongi Msomi added: “Both these brands have been of great assistance in the development of Netball in our country, it is great to see them follow through up to the Netball World Cup, to ensure that we are fully supported and ready.

“This partnership surely gives a sense of protection and readiness for what is set to be the biggest event for Netball South Africa to host in our home soil.
