Cameron Saaiman joins Dricus du Plessis on stacked UFC 285 card

South Africa’s Cameron Saaiman will join compatriot Dricus du Plessis on a stacked UFC 285 card in early March 2023.

South Africa’s Cameron Saaiman will join compatriot Dricus du Plessis on a stacked UFC 285 card in early March 2023.

Saaiman, still only 21, announced on social media on Tuesday that he will take on American Mana Martinez in what will be his second UFC fight.

The duo will trade punches in a bantamweight bout which is sure to be a contender for Fight of the Night.

Saaiman comes off a winning UFC debut when he knocked out Steven Koslow at UFC 282 late last year.

‘MSP’ boasts a perfect 7-0 record inside the octagon, while Martinez’s record stands at 10-3.

Meanwhile, as reported by The South African website, Dricus du Plessis will take on American Derek Brunson on the same card.

Du Plessis’ most recent win at UFC 282 over England’s Darren Till saw him jump into the Top 10 in the middleweight rankings.

Brunson is currently ranked fifth.

UFC 285, which will be headlined by a heavyweight contest between Jon Jones and Cyril Gane, will take place on Saturday, 4 March at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The South African website wishes both Dricus du Plesis and Cameron Saaiman the very best with their training ahead of UFC 285.
