Here’s your TV guide to this weekend’s live sport, for 21-23 September

Unless you’ve got a damn good reason, you shouldn’t be missing out on a second of live sport this weekend. It’s a cracking schedule.

Don’t even think about moving from the sofa over the next few days. We’ve got your guide to this weekend’s live sport and there is so much to get involved with. Get your snacks, and clear your schedule.

Live Sport on TV for Friday 21 September

Rugby

We’ve got Currie Cup action to kick this weekend off. Cheetahs host Pumas in the 17:00 kick off, so whatever excuse you can find to knock off work in time, you better pull it out of the bag! Coverage will be live on SuperSport 1.

Soccer

Table-topping Bidvest Wits take on Polokwane City in the Premier Soccer League. This tasty clash will be broadcast live from 19:50, and can be followed on SuperSport 4.

If you fancy something more European, you can catch Sassuolo take on Empoli in Italy’s Serie A (20:30 kick off, on SuperSport 9), or enjoy Huesca vs Real Sociedad from La Liga (21:00 kick off, SuperSport 7).

Golf

The PGA Tour Championship tees off from 19:30, as the second day gets underway. You can follow coverage of the tournament throughout this weekend on SuperSport 2.

Live Sport on TV for Saturday 22 September

Rugby:

The Rugby Championship has taken a break but we’ve still got a cracker of a domestic programme. There’s a double-header of Currie Cup action on Saturday, as Sharks entertain Lions (17:00) and Western Province host Griquas (19:30). Both games will be live on SuperSport 1.

Soccer:

What Saturdays are made for. The Premier League dominates Sunday’s schedule, and it all gets underway with a London derby. Fulham entertain Watford at Craven Cottage in the 13:30 kick off, and that’s live on SuperSport 3.

Liverpool vs Southampton follows that game on the same channel (it’s live on SABC 3, too), and there’s plenty of 16:00 kickoffs to sink your teeth into. Cardiff vs Manchester City (SS6), Crystal Palace vs Newcastle (SS8), Leicester vs Huddersfield (SS11) and Burnley vs Bournemouth (SS12) provides us with the afternoon action, before Brighton host Tottenham in the 18:30 match (SS3).

Back in Mzansi, you can catch Baroka vs Orlando Pirates on SuperSport 4, as coverage gets underway at 14:30.

Motorsport:

It’s the Spanish GP this weekend and this season has been full of drama and shock. You can catch qualifying from 14:05 on SuperSport 6.

Live Sport for Sunday 23 September

Rugby:

Action from abroad as Gloucester host Saracens in England’s GPR (16:00, SS6), and Toulouse take on Montpellier in the T14 (17:00, SS11).

Soccer:

More to come. West Ham vs Chelsea and Arsenal vs Everton makes up our super Sunday line-up. Coverage begins at 14:30 on Sunday, with both games being broadcast back-to-back on SuperSport 3.

Motorsport:

The MotoGP gets underway in Spain, and the race begins at 14:00 on SuperSport 5.

Basketball:

If you’re in the mood for some hoops, SuperSport 8 has got your back. The BNL play-offs will be live from 12:00.
