Mercedes star driver Lewis Hamilton enjoyed part of the four-week Formula One mid-season break in Namibia.

The seven-time world champion arrived in Namibia last Tuesday and reportedly proceeded on a chartered flight to Sossusvlei, one of Namibia’s most spectacular landmarks.

Hamilton clearly enjoyed his time in the country, taking to social media to write: Could not think of a better place to spend this time off. Thank you Namibia, off to the next stop.

Hamilton reportedly flew to Kenya for his next stop, arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in two private jets.

Officials said he departed for the Maasai Mara Reserve where he is expected to witness the ongoing Great Migration.

LEWIS HAMILTON SIXTH IN 2022 DRIVERS’ STANDINGS

Hamilton is currently sixth in the drivers’ standings after 13 of 22 races this season and trails leader Verstappen by 112 points.

It’s been a busy week for Hamilton. As reported by The South African website, the 37-year-old has joined the ownership team of NFL side, the Denver Broncos.

The next Formula One race is scheduled to be the Belgium Grand Prix on Sunday, 28 August.
