Kaizer Chiefs target Bradley Grobler looks set to return from injury soon, according to SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo.

Grobler, whose 13 goals this season have put him on Kaizer Chiefs radar, has missed SuperSport’s last three matches with injury.

Wanted by Kaizer Chiefs, Grobler close to return

Tembo confirmed that it will be about two weeks before the prolific goalscorer gets back into action.

“With Bradley, I think he’s two to three weeks away from coming back to full fitness. It was an ankle injury. He tried to come back you know, but he was not ready so we had to delay his return a little bit and give him more time to recover, so he might be back earlier than expected,” Tembo told the Soccer Laduma.

SuperSport United have slipped away from the leading pack in the Premiership but remain ahead of Kaizer Chiefs who failed to make the most of their chances in a 1-1 draw with Baroka FC on Thursday.

“You know we have been unlucky in terms of results but all we can do is focus on the performance and work a little bit harder and look ahead and not really focus on the negatives, we need to be a bit more positive and take all the positives that we can going into our next game that’s very important for us.”

Goal woes for Amakhosi

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly already agreed in principle to sign the PSL’s second-highest goalscorer this season in Ruzaigh Gamildien but have retained interest in the 33-year-old Grobler given that he is a proven marksman.

Amakhosi are desperate to get the goals flowing again after a disappointing start to the season in front of goal.

Samir Nurkovic has returned to full fitness but is yet to regain his best form while Leonardo Castro is absent through injury.

Kaizer Chiefs attacking signings, barring Nurkovic, haven’t really set the PSL on fire with the likes of Lazarous Kambole failing to live up to expectations.
