Wallabies superstar, Israel Folau has once again found himself in hot water after making more homophobic comments on social media.

The Waratahs fullback sparked controversy last year when he took to Twitter to announce his opposition to gay marriage.

This time around, his medium of choice was Instagram where, in an interaction with another user in a since-deleted post, the 28-year old said hell awaits those attracted to people of the same sex as themselves.

Folau’s comments did not go down well with many as he was widely condemned, with Australia’s first gay rugby club, the Convicts expressing disappointment at his latest tirade.

Folau has been capped 62 times by the Wallabies after converting from rugby league in 2013. He has also had a brief stint in Aussie Rules football.
