The Sporting Post has endeavoured over the past week without success to contact top South African trainer Sean Tarry to confirm – or deny – reports of a relocation to the Western Cape.

However, writing on social media, Tarry said: “Cape Town have upped their game and it looks attractive to be there for the season as we always have. And in time to come maybe the establishment of a satellite yard remains a possibility. But Randjesfontein is my base and we have always done well and been able to attack other centres from there. So I’m not going anywhere,” he concluded.

Tarry is undergoing a rationalisation of his yard via the Sean Tarry Fast Track Sale, set to take place in the Bull Ring at the Randjesfontein Training Centre on Friday 23 September.
