Chelsea forward Eden Hazard expects the 4-1 victory over Arsenal in the Europa League final to be his last game for the Premier League club.

Hazard said that playing for Chelsea in the Premier League had been a dream come true but he felt it was time to move on.

The return of Zinedine Zidane to Real Madrid is believed to have been a huge factor in the Belgian’s decision to move away from England.

Hazard scored twice in the 4-1 victory over Arsenal in Baku taking his total for Chelsea to 110 goals in 352 appearances.

“I think it’s a goodbye, but in football you never know. My dream was to play in the Premier League and I did this for seven years for one of the biggest clubs in the world. So now maybe it’s time for a new challenge,” Hazard told BT Sport after the game.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, himself linked with a move away from the club, is resigned to losing Hazard in the off season.

“I know he wants to leave and I have to respect his decision,” Sarris said.

Sarri added: “He is a wonderful player. It took two or three months for me to understand him as a man and now I do, he’s a wonderful man.

“He’s an extraordinary player. He is a strange boy but when he understands it is extraordinary.”

Hazard was in fine form in the Europa League final and didn’t look like a player with his mind on a move but he will almost certainly sign for Real Madrid in the coming weeks.

“I’ve taken my decision already. Now it depends on the club. I’m just waiting like the fans wait, so you will know in a couple of days,” he added.

“My target today was to win the trophy that’s it, that’s the only thing that was on my mind.”

In seven years at Chelsea, Hazard has won seven trophies with the club including two Premier League titles.
