The SA Women’s cricket team pummeled Sri Lanka by eight wickets, chasing down a meagre total of 101 for victory.
Dane Van Niekerk, who has to be some sort of wizard, spun the Sri Lanka’s into a world of trouble with her remarkable 4-24, ably assisted by Shabnim Ismail’s 3-14.
I think it’s safe to say if your last name is Van Niekerk, you’re a bloody wonderful athlete…
Laura Voldvaart’s calm 48 n.o guided SA through a brief hiccup when they lost two early wickets, and the Proteas glided home to a victory that all but assures them a semi-final spot.
