Kolisi sends message to Proteas Women: Let’s turn it up!

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has joined in with the numerous messages of support for the Proteas Women ahead of the T20 World Cup final.

On Sunday afternoon, the Proteas Women will take on Australia in the T20 World Cup final at a packed out Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.

South Africa booked their place in the final after securing a thrilling win over England in Friday’s semi-final, while Australia edged out India in the first playoff game.

On Friday, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi turned up at Newlands for South Africa’s playoff game, and he could be seen throwing his support behind the Proteas Women – a team that he credited for helping inspire the nation at a time when they needed it most.

As messages of support continue to pour in for the Proteas Women ahead of Sunday’s final, Kolisi appears in a ‘good luck’ video shared by Roc Nation Sports International, who have a partnership with Cricket South Africa.

In the clip that also features other notable messages of support, Kolisi calls fans to “turn it up” as the Proteas Women take on Australia.

The T20 World Cup final gets underway from 3pm in front of what is expected to be a sold-out Newlands Stadium crowd, with all the action also broadcast live on SuperSport Grandstand (Ch. 201).
