SA20 LIVE scores: MI Cape Town vs Paarl Royals

Both sides are blessed with incredible talent in all departments, with the home team boasting the likes of Rashid Khan, Jofra Archer, Dewald Brevis and Sam Curran among others. Meanwhile, the boys in pink from Paarl have an equally star-studded squad that will be led by David Miller.

England’s World Cup-winning trio of Jos Buttler, Jason Roy and Eoin Morgan will play pivotal roles in the Royals’ squad.

How to watch

The match will be televised live on SuperSport in Sub-Saharan Africa, Viacom18 in India, Sky Sports in the United Kingdom and on ICC.TV across the globe.

What are the SA20 teams?

Rashid and Miller are no strangers to each other having been teammates in last season’s Indian Premier League for the Gujarat Titans. But now they will put aside their friendship for a few hours in the bid to get their respective teams off to a winning start.

“It’s going to be an exciting game, funny enough because David and I played together last year in the IPL and now we are in South Africa facing each other. That makes the competition more beautiful, he knows what he’s going to do and I know what he’s going to do,” said Rashid.

“From the training point of view, it’s been so good so far. Everyone is super excited about the tournament, the match and the general vibe and hype around everything.”

Miller, meanwhile, is wary of facing his IPL teammate but believes the Royals are capable of staging an upset at Newlands.

“I have played a lot against him [Rashid], believe me, I would rather have him on my team than the opposite side – but I think that is the joy of these kinds of competitions around the world to meet different players and have a good experience. Tomorrow is going to be a different day, different story altogether,” said Miller.

“I don’t think the stage can be set any better, it’s great to see people getting back on the stadiums again to watch a spectacular game – I’m sure it will be. We are wary of MI’s team, which is why we will also come out strong and try to reach the top.”
