JP DUMINY RETURNS AS A ‘STRATEGIC CONSULTANT’

The former Proteas all-rounder took on a coaching role ahead of the T20 World Cup after he retired following the 2019 Cricket World Cup in England. He now serves as the Proteas’ “strategic consultant.”

“It was an emotional moment as I reminisced on the great times that I had in the Proteas camp. I’m trying to see where I can add value but it’s been a privilege to be back,” said Duminy to News 24.

“It’s not necessarily honing on a skill or department within the structure of the team. The way that I’ve seen it, having this experience for the last 15 years and playing T20s and in various World Cups, it’s about how I can contribute,” he continued.
