SA A batsmen post over 500 on day two

South Africa A declared their first innings on 509-7 before India A finished day two on 125-1 in Bloemfontein.

On Tuesday, SA A captain Pieter Malan finished the opening day of play with a superb 157* that included 18 boundaries, while Tony de Zorzi also struck a well-played 117.

Malan was ultimately dismissed for 163 (282 balls, 19 fours) on day two, while Jason Smith was out early for 52 before Sinethemba Qeshile (82*) and George Linde (51) also made the most of a batsmen-friendly pitch.

India A responded well with the bat as Priyank Panchal (45*) and Abhimanyu Easwaran (27*) took play to the close, with SA A paceman Lutho Sipamla having picked up the only Indian wicket, that of Prithvi Shaw for 48.
