Check out what captain Temba Bavuma had to say following his stunning century that inspired the Proteas to a 2-0 series win over England.
Bavuma struck a stunning century (109 from 102 balls) to help the Proteas beat England by five wickets in second ODI, thus securing a 2-0 series win in Bloemfontein.

WHAT TEMBA BAVUMA SAID AFTER HIS CENTURY FOR THE PROTEAS:
“Very special, playing against England is always a tough ask, a good opportunity to test our way of playing, chasing 340 like that gives us a lot of confidence,” Bavuma said.
“Very enjoyable century, these wickets suit the way we want to play. Good to remind myself how to count to 100 too.
“The guys were quite calm, something miraculous could have happened for us to lose that game. We tried to dominate the first ten overs, they lifted their intensity but we stayed in it. We took the situation out of it and played the conditions. Lovely crowd, to see all the people in the stands was magnificent. We’re looking forward to Kimberley, it will be another opportunity to execute our plan,” added Bavuma
The Proteas and England will conclude their three-match One Day International Series in Kimberley on Wednesday 1 February 2023.
During this series, the Proteas will be led by caretaker coach Shukri Conrad for the series. The 55-year-old was appointed as South Africa’s new red-ball coach earlier this month, but is taking charge of the team in the interim, before New Zealand-based Rob Walter arrives in the country next month.
