Faf du Plessis is enjoying an incredibly successful season in the Indian Premier League, where he remains top of the batting chart with 631 runs.

As the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Du Plessis has added real star power to the team lineup along with close friend Virat Kohli.

On Sunday, the Royal Challengers Bangalore claimed a crushing 112-run win against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, and a brilliant clip has now emerged to show Kohli mirroring the batting style of Du Plessis during the team warm up.

Standing directly behind his South African teammate, Kohli did a great job of imitating the high back lift and aggressive movements of Du Plessis.

Meanwhile, earlier this month Kohli was handed a fine after a post-match altercation after an IPL game saw him go face to face with former national team-mate Gautam Gambhir, before Faf du Plessis eventually stepped in to pull him away.

Kohli and Gambhir were docked their entire match fee, while bowler Naveen-ul-Haq was fined 50 percent of his game-day earnings for his role in the heated exchange.

During a tense match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants, Kohli and Naveen were seen exchanging heated words during the game, while West Indian Kyle Mayers was also engaged in another heated exchange with the India superstar.

Gambhir later stepped in to confront Kohli after the game, with the furious altercation threatening to end in blows.

Ultimately, Du Plessis could be seen stepping in to pull him away from the confrontation.

Kohli took to social media after the incident, sharing a cryptic Instagram post quoting a famed Roman emperor and philosopher: “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth. – Marcus Aurelius.”
