Brevis, who is still only 18, made his name known for the South Africa team at the U19 World Cup earlier this year.

After an impressive debut for the Mumbai Indians where he scored 29 off 19 balls, Dewald Brevis could only manage 8 off 11 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Kohli fell two short of his fifty after being trapped lbw Brevis, but looked unhappy with his dismissal after his umpire review was turned down.

Replays suggested that he got an inside edge, but the third-umpire unbelievably had other ideas and gave Kohli his marching orders.

Bangalore went on to win the match by seven wickets, leaving Mumbai Indians with their fourth straight loss.

Mumbai Indians are currently ninth in the 10-team table with zero points after four matches, only ahead of the bottom-placed Chennai Super Kings on net run rate.
