According to the Cricinfo website, Anrich Nortje will have his first net practice on Friday during the Delhi Captials’ optional training session.

Nortje, who arrived in Mumbai 10 days ago on April 6, was forced to spend an extended time in quarantine after a false positive test.

He had flown business class in a commercial flight from South Africa to India after the second of three recent ODI’s against Pakistan.

His quarantine period was meant to end on April 13, but the positive result meant he had to remain isolated.

As per the IPL guidelines, Nortje had to clear three further tests before joining the Delhi Capitals squad.

Nortje was the Delhi Capitals’ second-best bowler – behind compatriot Kagiso Rabada – and the fourth-best in the tournament last year, with 22 wickets in 16 matches.

He also made headlines when he clocked 156km/h during the match against the Rajasthan Royals last season, the fastest delivery ever recorded in IPL history.
