From 15th to 1st: Brad Binder pulls off stunning sprint race win [video]

Brad Binder continues to make South Africa proud as he claimed a stunning MotoGP victory in the Tissot Sprint in Argentina.

Brad Binder added another unforgettable achievement to his memorable motorsport career as he went from the back of the grid to first place.

Coming from the back of the grid, Binder stormed to victory ahead of Ducati duo Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini of Italy.

In his post-race interview, Binder admitted that he even surprised himself with the manoeuvring.

“I surprised myself a little bit there, what a start! I got super tight in turn one and just tried to hug the inside. And then just one at a time. I tried to say, ‘OK, if I go to the front and I fight like hell, there’s a good chance I can maybe stay there’. So the plan worked out perfectly.”

BRAD OUT TO BUILD ON SUCCESSES

The 27-year-old South African scored KTM’s maiden MotoGP victory in the Czech Republic in 2020 and was KTM’s highest-ranked rider in 2022 with 6th position in the standings and podium results at both the opening Grand Prix of the year (Qatar) and the closer (Valencia). 

Now nine seasons in the Red Bull KTM family, Binder is recognised as one of the most determined and efficient racers on the MotoGP grid.
