THE FUNERAL DETAILS OF SLAIN TSHENOLO MABOTE

Her funeral was held at Silwerkraans Tlokweng Kududu Section on Saturday, 28 January, and was taken to her final resting place at Masetlheng cemetery.

EX-PARTNER ACCUSED OF ENDING WOMAN’S LIFE

Tshenolo Mabote (27) from North West Province was beaten to death allegedly by her ex-boyfriend on Sunday, 22 January 2023 in Marikana, North West. The ex is also the father of Tshenolo’s 11-month-old son.
Women for Change  alleges that her ex-boyfriend went to Tshenolo’s home to attack her. He allegedly stoned her multiple times with concrete bricks.
It is alleged that once he realised Tshenolo was unconscious he then dragged her by her legs on the streets, continuing to beat her, while walking to his home with her.

It is further reported that while neighbours tried to intervene, the suspect kept on pointing a gun at them.
“He then took Tshenolo to the hospital, where she was transferred to another hospital. Tshenolo succumbed to her injuries one day later. Her ex-boyfriend was arrested at the hospital,” the report suggested.
“GBV has hit home and it has left a permanent mark. Justice needs to be served,” the victim’s cousin Reabetswe Rakuba lamented.

DEMAND FOR JUSTICE MOUNTS FOR THIS MATTER

Meanwhile, the ANC Youth League in the Kgetleng sub-region has condemned this senseless incident of Gender-based violence (GBV ) and femicide.
Although the ex-partner is reportedly behind bars, friends and family members continue to demand justice for Tshenolo Mabote whose 11-month-old baby will have to grow up without a mother.

This is a developing story.
