While civil society organisations and opposition politicians have taken to the streets to try and remove the president, former ANC MP-turned whistleblower Vytjie Mentor came up with her own formula for deposing the man she calls a “monster.”

Vytjie Mentor — the controversial former ANC MP who blew the whole state capture saga open when she alleged the Guptas had been ‘selling’ cabinet positions with the consent of Jacob Zuma — has penned a short ‘letter to all South Africans’ explaining what it would take to remove Zuma as president.

Since her initial comments around state capture and the Guptas she’s been relatively quiet, but recently the firebrand politician has again taken to social media, her favourite medium of communication.

Last week she stepped into the spotlight when she made comments about new finance minister Malusi Gigaba’s key adviser and his alleged visit to Saxonwold, casting doubt on the real reason Gigaba replaced Pravin Gordhan.

On Sunday mentor posted the following to Facebook, calling on South Africans to take continued action in order to force the president out of office:

“AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL SOUTH AFRICANS:
I have received a lot of Support from thousands if not millions of South Africans so far. I appreciate this a lot. Many, many times yoù South Africans have asked what to do in order to support me in the fight against State-Capture and against corruption, and I always said take to the streets. I am humbled that in the past few weeks South Africa did just that, but clearly, that is nòt enough! One big march here and there across the country will never take Zuma down. It is against this background that I ask you South Africans to occupy Parliament and the Union Building day and night until Zuma is forced to step down. This is a clarion call to all South Africa to embark on a PEACEFUL SUSTAINED ACTION to bring this Monster down!. The red berets did it in Thailand, Brazil did it, South [Korea] did it, and we can do it too. I will inform you on my wall when I begin with my small contribution. If you love me, care for me, and need me as you always declare you do, you will consider this humble plea from the bottom of my heart. I love life, but I love South Africa more! Real Power To the People, REALLY!!!”
