Zuma vs Ramaphosa: Former President appeals to ConCourt

Jacob Zuma will appeal against the interim interdict the Johannesburg High Court granted President Cyril Ramaphosa in January.

The Jacob Zuma Foundation announced the former President is appealing directly to the Constitutional Court in his quest to get President Cyril Ramaphosa to attend criminal proceedings.

ZUMA VS RAMAPHOSA HEADS TO HIGHEST COURT IN THE LAND

In January, Ramaphosa obtained an interim interdict in the Johannesburg High Court, which is in place while the President challenges the private prosecution brought against him by Zuma – that matter is expected to be heard in May.

However, the Zuma camp was granted leave to appeal the Johannesburg High Court judgement. The former President brought Ramaphosa into his private prosecution against an NPA prosecutor and News24 journalist as an accessory after the fact. He alleges the President failed to take action when he complained to him about the prosecutor.
