Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be ready to pull off all the stops to sign top quality players next season.

This will come hand in hand with Chiefs’ plan to appoint a new high profile coach in the coming weeks.

Chiefs have been linked with a plethora of players, both locally, and on the African and European continents. That should show that they have no intention to wait for the new coach to arrive, before signing. The attacking department is clearly one the club want to address, whether it is through wingers, strikers or attacking midfielders.

Chiefs looking to revamp their attack

In the strikers department the likes of Iqraam Rayners, Khanyisa Mayo and Lebo Mothiba have all been mentioned. For the wingers, Luther Singh, Daniel Msendami, Elias Mokwana, Tshepang Moremi, Lehlohonolo Mojela, Percy Tau and Oswin Appollis. And attacking midfielders Chawanangwa Kaonga. But now a new name has since been licking to that play making role for Chiefs.

According to Soccer-Laduma, Chiefs are keeping an eye on Gaston Sirino’s situation at Mamelodi Sundowns. The Uruguayan has one more year left on his deal and reportedly hoping to leave after a lack of game time.

“Since he made it clear that he would want to leave and go where he would play more regularly there have been a few teams which have made inquires about his services and one of those teams is Kaizer Chiefs. Negotiations may not have started but Chiefs are interested and he is on their shopping list for next season.” Said a source to the publication.

Sirino from Sundowns the latest target?

Should Sirino move to Chiefs, he would bring a lot of experience in an area of the pitch needing that. Amakhosi relied mostly on youngsters Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Mduduzi Shabalala for playmaking duties last season. The experienced player they signed for that role, Mduduzi Mdantsane, hardly played due to disciplinary issues.

Sirino is 33-years old and would be ready made to hit the ground running. Would you accept at Chiefs, Amakhosi fans?
