A woman is now part of a medical journal after doctors, who thought she had a UTI (Urinary tract infection), discovered she actually ad a glass tumbler stuck in her bladder for four years.

According to Science Direct, the 45-year-old woman from Tunisia was admitted to hospital for low urinary tract symptoms.

Doctors ran some tests on the woman, but it was only after they ran some scans on her that they made the shocking finding: a piece of glass lodged inside her bladder. She revealed that she had used the drinking glass as a sex toy a number of years before.

WAS IT A SEX GAME GONE WRONG?

Evidently, the woman inserted the glass into the urethra — the hole from which females urinate — rather than the vagina.

“X-ray showed a radio-opaque shadow with rectangular form inside reminding the form of a glass. The giant stone measured 8cm × 7cm X 8cm (Fig. 1). The patient disclosed this happened while she was using an intra-vaginal foreign body (glass) for erotic purposes 4 years ago. The patient underwent surgery. Open cystolithotomy was done under general anaesthesia. The stone was removed (Fig. 2). The patient was discharged on day 2 and follow up was uneventful,” the journal reads in part.

According to The New York Post, the woman might have been practicing what is commonly referred to as urethral sounding – This practice involves inserting a glass or metal object or fluid into the urethra. The aim is to enhance sexual pleasure by encouraging your partner to explore your penis in several ways.
