Wolmaransstad truck accident leaves one dead, 38 injured
Patients were found scattered along the road when paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident near Wolmaransstad on Tuesday morning.

A truck and trailer reportedly overturned on the N12 highway near Wolmaransstad, North West on Tuesday morning, 12 July. One person was killed and dozens more were injured.
MAN DIES AFTER TRUCK OVERTURNS NEAR WOLMARANSSTAD
According to paramedic service, ER24, first responders arrived at the scene of the accident at approximately 7:30 and found the truck and trailer lying on its side in the middle of the road near Wolmaransstad.
“Numerous patients that had been on the back of the truck and trailer were scattered along the road,” said an ER24 spokesperson.
The patients were assessed by medics. Nothing could be done for the individual who sustained fatal injuries while the survivors’ injuries ranged from minor to critical.
Those in need of it received advanced life support before being taken to various nearby hospitals for urgent care.
The details of the accident are unknown, at this stage; however, the local authorities are investigating the matter.
In an unrelated incident, a man died on the N17 near Ermelo, Mpumalanga after a vehicle rollover. The other passenger, a woman, survived the crash, according to ER24 but she is in a serious condition.
Both victims were found approximately 10 metres from the vehicle when paramedics arrived at the scene on Tuesday morning.
